Sanctuary School offers a range of equine services grounded in stewardship, nervous system regulation, and relationship repair. These sessions support our nonprofit mission of caring for lesson horses and advancing compassionate, research-informed horsemanship.

All services are priced to reflect the time, skill, and care involved. But please know:

All of these offerings are provided on a voluntary basis  — to help horses in need, and to raise funds that help even more horses receive care, retreats, and support. If the listed cost prohibits you from helping your horse, please reach out to learn more about our financial support options.

Horse-Only Services

Horse Friend

These sessions are for horses in transition or in need of temporary outside support. Ideal when:

• A lesson or therapy horse needs time no one else has (e.g. injury rehabilitation, behavioral issue)

• An owner is unavailable (e.g., medical leave, extended travel)

• A horse is for sale and their owner is distancing their attachment

• A horse is in quarantine and in need of additional enrichment

We do not provide care (feedings, etc.) nor do we provide formal training. These sessions prioritize the emotional well-being and autonomy of the horse and will look different each time without any promise of results.

Includes: observation, handling, energy work, low-impact groundwork, short rides if appropriate.

• Available in-person (Marquette area only) 

• Rate: $35/visit/horse (no charge for lesson/therapy horses)

Riding Reset (Restart)​

Horses sometimes need to retrain their relationship with humans in order to go forward. This work, often called a re-start, starts at square one: slowly reintroducing the saddling process, mounting block patience, response to aids, and gradually working up to w-t-c under-saddle work. There are no promises of a delivery date of any result.

 

We offer this program as four-week packages which includes a total of 12 sessions.

Available in-person (Marquette area only) 

• Rate: $500 for the 4-week package (no charge for lesson/therapy horses)

Horse–Human Services

​

Relationship Reset

A lot of time what a horse needs most is for their human to get grounded, regulated, and ready to listen. These sessions are available only to clients who are ready to do the inner work needed to show up for their horse in a new way.

 

We offer this program as four-week packages which includes a total of 12 sessions.

Each week will include:

A meeting with you to coach you through intention-setting for the week (1 hr)

A session with your horse to connect directly with them using a variety of techniques from bodywork to riding (~2 hrs)

A lesson with you and your horse that integrates the previous two sessions (~1.5 hrs)

• Available in-person (Marquette area only)

• Rate: $650 for the 4-week package ​

Human-Only Services

 

Intention Check-Ins / Insight Sessions 

These short 30-minute sessions are a great way for anyone to check in with their intentions. While coaching clients are encouraged to keep up with their intention setting, this service is open to anyone, anywhere. If you value our insights for any reason, set up an appointment.​​​​​​​
