Detroit's new urban equestrian center will welcome its first horses in early 2027. As these horses settle into a new home, new routines, and an important role serving Detroit's youth, The Sanctuary School wants to be there to support them through that transition.

For two weeks, we'll be immersed in the daily life of the herd: observing how each horse is adapting, providing individualized bodywork and horse-centered handling, helping establish foundational routines, and collecting baseline wellness information to support their care over time.

Our goal is to raise $6,000 to launch and strengthen the Residency Program. Your support will help make this first residency possible while investing in the travel, equipment, training, and other resources we'll use to continue showing up for these lesson horses in the years ahead.

Help us welcome the herd and build what comes next.
